I am very grateful to have art-making as a driving force throughout my life.  Constantly composing and breaking down all that surrounds me into elements of design, is exciting, grounding and has been  my survival.
My life as a garden designer for many years has led me to my new pieces
of fantasy landscapes.

I don't plan or sketch out a route that a painting will take, but rather let the first stroke of color or collage piece lead the way. Falling into the process sets the whole thing into motion and with each addition the peice takes on a life of its own. When the painting is finished with me, and as I step back to reveiw and unravel,  the title falls into place. The viewer is invited to have their own experience and interpretation.
